How to create an action shot appear cooler in photoshop.
Step 1: Get and open your two images that you want to combine together in photoshop. Make sure they are open in two separate projects so...

Portraits were fun to experiment with along with all the different angles of light and its affect on your model. The way your model faced could give different shapes of light on their face or give a fading effect. The challenges in this project were probably just getting different types of angles and shots to get a different perspective and emotion from the model. I liked working with light and believe that there are many ways to improve how portraits are taken and give it more that creative approach. Check out some of my first portraits shots!
In this project we used a person as a model to get the different emotions portrayed in everyday life. It was pretty fun and not too hard to get everyone to think of the emotion that they've experienced. We used a flash and umbrella to create softer shadows on the subject and then edited the final products in lightroom and photoshop. The only real difficulty was not realizing that my pictures were a bit dark and then having to restart and re-edit everything. Check it out in the link below.
Shooting with the different types of natural light was pretty fun. The difficulties were probably getting a clear and still image with the night shots. Another difficulty was the constant moon so that star pictures didn't reveal as much and getting the perfect perspective to not produce a flat image. I learned more with using the F-stop and the production of grain through the ISO. Overall it was a good experience with shooting let and its effects at night and I will focus on getting the full clarity in night images.
This technique captures images when the subject is traveling in motion. The subject can either show its speed frozen within a shot or emit streaks or a blur effect called shutter panning that is based upon your camera settings. The challenges of this project were finding the right objects in motion and following those objects to get their effect. Also making sure you had the right settings because if you took the shot and it was overexposed or out of focus, then the object in motion would be too far if you had no control over it. I improved y seeing the motions in the everyday things I do and see. Whether its driving or seeing the water move in a jacuzzi, it was fun to see the different varieties available. Here's a couple of images that portray that effect. Click on the sailboat.
This technique judges on how much is focused within the picture. A shallow depth of field could consist of a focus on the subject while the background is out of of focus and a wide depth of field consists of the whole image being clear and focused on. The challenges of depth of field were just getting pictures nice to look at. Its a little hard in orange county to get a lot of scenery for cool DOF shots, but I worked with what I had. I'll try and traveling up north or down south for future projects. I have improved by learning how to adjust a wider depth of field rather than focusing on a small area. Here a couple images taken around my everyday life. Click on the image to the left.
