TWO PHOTGRAPHY CAREERS

1. LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHER

- The article on landscaping photography by Peter Tellone gave me plenty ideas on different ways to shoot. He is a California photographer and takes pictures of the beach, desert, and a lot of the wonders that exist here. This inspired me even more because I live in California and can truly take tips from him about everything I am surrounded by. I like how he came up with his own method about a shoe shot where he puts his camera on his shoe and blindly shoots close to the ground to get a perspective from his shoe. He explains how living as a landscape photographer is filled with plenty adventures around his local areas daily and gives him a different perspective from the everyday person. His lenses are always changing to get different shots and their detail. I like how he never has to worry about camera problems in weathered issues because an improved seal on his nicer camera. Traveling amongst the beaches, deserts, and forests of California and the U.S. seems like the dream to live. This inspires to me to want to travel around and get a different perspective on life through photography and changing the way others see life too.

2. WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER

-Being a wildlife photographer sounds like the coolest job ever. Ralph Lee Hopkins is living the dream as he travels around the world taking pictures for national geographic. He explains it as photographing the story that is being portrayed by the animals rather than taking the average picture of each animal. By forming a background it makes you think how each animal has gotten to that point in the image. He started out from film and worked his way to digital photography and still has a passion for both. It makes me appreciate film because I have done it before and also appreciate digital even more because of how convenient it could be. Not having to exchange rolls, worry about messing up, and dreading the cost of developing the film is what I'm starting to love about modern digital cameras. This almost seems more realistic than being a landscaping photographer because your always on the move and getting the next shot for a big magazine or business thats expecting you to benefit them. This is probably my favorite of the two and if I could do this for a job I would not hesitate if it provided for me well.
